🪛 What are Assistants?

When you invite the 🤖 for Teams to a channel, a dedicated bot is created within the Assistant page in Unleash, specifically for that channel. This dedicated section allows you to manage the bot's settings and knowledge sources effectively.

🤖 What Does the Bot Do?

The Unleash Bot for Teams actively monitors channels to identify any questions that users are asking. It attempts to answer these questions using the data sources that the admin has connected to it via the Unleash Assistant for Teams. If a relevant answer is found, the bot will provide it along with useful resources for reference.

🆕 How do I Get Started?

To begin, navigate to the Teams app store and add the Unleash App to your Team. Once successfully added, proceed by inviting the Unleash bot to a channel using the command: invite @Unleash. Please note that the bot can only be invited to channels with standard privacy settings.

Once the bot has been invited, a bot configuration tab will be created on the assistants page within Unleash. From there, you can customize the bot's responses to by setting data sources the bot will use as a source when answering questions.

🧩 Setting the Data Source:

In the Assistant Tab Groups, you have options to configure the data sources that the 🤖 can access to retrieve answers. Two essential data sources are:

1. Knowledge from Unleash

Previous Wikis created in Unleash or Unleash automatically creates a dedicated Wiki when you add the 🤖 to a channel. This Wiki is shared with the channel members, allowing them to create knowledge cards from their Teams conversations and save them to Unleash. These cards enrich the knowledge base, making the information available to the channel whenever they ask the 🤖 a question.

2. Knowledge from Apps

You can select specific apps and resource types that the 🤖 will search through to provide answers. Narrowing down the scope of filters enhances the quality of the responses, ensuring relevant information is delivered to users.

Take complete control over the app filters you've set as data sources for the bot. Narrow down your filter to a specific app resource.
